So what can I say? Maybe one day when Guix gets KDE Plasma properly packaged, I can achieve my dream of the perfect Guix + KDE Plasma + Wayland + all the other cool stuff laptop, but I don't even use any of the cool and powerful Guix features on my laptop (they'd be immensely useful on a server though). Maybe next time, maybe next time.
If you got so far, maybe you well expecting a nice laptop utopia at the end. But nope, life just gets in the way and we can't have nice things. Well, actually we can, if you just accept [boring tech](https://boringtechnology.club/) as good enough. Installing Arch + KDE Plasma + X11 + ext4 + PulseAudio right now and I don't regret it!!!
I should probably also review the physical laptop hardware, so here you go: the keyboard feels like a Macbook keyboard and the key travel is much shallower than my older ThinkPad, which I think I'll have to type out a long essay (like this one) before I find out if the new keyboard is good or not. (So far I'm liking it!) The laptop is also pretty heavy, but then again, it's better than the old ThinkPad which probably weighs more than I do. The fingerprint reader works perfectly with `fprint`, surprisingly, and I can even get firmware updates through `fwupd` which is a nice perk. Overall, the hardware is pretty mediocre but you probably expected that after reading this entire thing.
