When trying to create a VM on exoportal I get the following error message:

Creation of VM Test1 failed  
setlocale: No such file or directory error: failed to connect to the hypervisor error: authentication failed: access denied by policy

Switching to administrative access did (understandably) also not work as I am not one of the admins.

I believe you need to select the session instead of system connection when creating the virtual machine. Can you check if this fixes the issue?

Using Session most of the errors are gone.
But it still says setlocale: No such file or directory.

Maybe it has something to do with the Updates? They seem not to be working.

Maybe it has got something to do with the Updates? They seem not to be working.

No, that's because we don't have PackageKit installed since it spams update notifications sometimes.

I'm still not able to set up a VM.

What installation image are you using? Is the error coming from inside or outside the VM? I was able to get a VM set up perfectly using a guest account and the session connection.
