This article contains a lot of good recommendations. However, since it is so long, I'll need to find some time later to go through it.

The biggest threat is, and will always be, the user.

I looked through the article, and most of the suggestions are not useful or too extreme. Maybe using the linux-hardened kernel might be a good idea, but I'm closing this for now.
