OK, this has been bothering me ever since we upgraded the GPU #24, but I can't find a way to turn of the RGB lights since the AMDGPU driver doesn't expose the proper buses to control the lights. Here's the relevant OpenRGB issue: https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenRGB/-/issues/1707
Another option is to do a PCI GPU passthrough to a Windows virtual machine but that's super complicated and might not even work.
I'm going to try disassembling the GPU today and seeing if I can physically disconnect the RGB lights. There'll be an outage sometime this afternoon for this.
This didn't work.
Also, the RGB lights don't use much power so there's not too much of a point in turning them off to save power.
Here's some more OpenRGB links:
So does anyone want to try to break their brain and fix this?
