It would be nice to have a weblate instance for translating as it'll enable projects to translate easily
Is anyone else interested in hosting a Weblate instance? I know Codeberg has an instance at https://translate.codeberg.org.
Oh yes, i can do that code on exozy.me translate on codeberg
This looks good. Probably the easiest way to contribute to projects here if we host one 😅
Just noticed this issue and that it was closed, what was the verdict? I too would be interested in a weblate instance!
I looked into setting up a Weblate instance and it's quite nontrivial. The AUR package says that the dependencies are broken so I'd have to fix that. Also, Weblate doesn't support SQLite so I'd have to configure PostgreSQL. I might set this up if I have a huge chunk of time, but in the meantime, you can either use the Codeberg Weblate instance or host your own Weblate instance on exozyme using podman-compose.
I've never messed with making or editing AUR packages, but is there a way I could help?
The first step would be to attempt to build and run the AUR package I linked above. You'll probably have to do quite a bit of work to fix the dependencies. Unfortunately I'm mostly busy with other stuff so I can't help much with this.
Ok, I have some free time for the next couple days (and a lot more midway through june), I'll see if i could get it working!
@dragongoose Also, if you're unable to get the AUR package to work, then you can also try hosting it with podman-compose. Although then you would have to become the maintainer for our Weblate instance mainly because I don't really know how to use podman-compose.
Yeah, I'll probably have to do that. I was messing with the AUR package before and had no idea how to fix it... lol
I'm fine with being the maintainer, I'll check out hosting it with podman-compose
The weblate instance can now be accessed at https://weblate.exozy.me/
Enjoy!
Sorry for the necropost, but it says that nobody has access to create translation projects, is this like a bug, or something?
