Our current Ryzen 5600X CPU is quite a beast, but it would be nice to have a few more cores. A 5900X wouldn't cost that much more, but I'll have to sell the current CPU.

  • Buy a 5900X
  • Buy a decent CPU cooler
  • Sell our current 5600X

React with a 👍 if this is something you want to see happen!

Both the 5900X and the 5950X are heavily discounted right now, but I don't know which one to get. The 5950X is quite pricy ($600 vs $400 after discounts and taxes) and doesn't seem like much of an improvment based on benchmarks. Of course it has 8 more threads...

Decided to go with the 5900X since the 5950X is completely overkill and kind of hard to justify the price.

Going with a Scythe FUMA 2 for the cooler since I won't be doing any overclocking. Hopefully I can find someone to sell the old 5600X soon.
