Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
These clients often perform badly with exodesk, such as having lag and distorted sound. The current workaround is to use FreeRDP. I don't know if there are any other good RDP clients.
Using 16-bit color instead of 32 may help somewhat with performance.
I've found that it really helps in the Microsoft RDP clients to make sure you have enabled 16-bit color and resize on window resize in the connection settings and that you aren't in fullscreen after connecting. Of course, FreeRDP is a better option if it's avaliable.
Even FreeRDP performs badly during gaming on a LAN. See the workaround above if you're having trouble with this.
If you only want to listen to some audio, I recommend resizing the window as small as possible.
Now that exodesk is a thing, you no longer have to use Microsoft RDP clients anyways, so I'm closing this for now. I can't think of anything anyways that would further improve performance.
